Having spotted them on someone's blog, I had my eyes on Pat & Stick's ice cream sandwiches long before I even arrived in this country. So imagine how happy I was to finally get the opportunity to have one. My purpose for going to Paddington market was more or less for the ice cream alone, and my heart was already set on the Amaretti Espresso flavour. Espresso ice cream held together by crunchy, caramely biscuits, it was as if they were made to be eaten while walking around a market on a sunny Saturday afternoon. My accompanying friend had a 'special' sandwich; one which is not mentioned on the menu. It was a concoction of peppermint ice cream sandwiched between chocolate cookies with the filling having a minty kick way above your average choc mint ice. All hail Pat and Stick.

I love their ice cream cookies. I just tried the mint-flavoured one, too, but the double choc is still my favourite. I usually get my stash from the Pyrmont markets (along with other goodies).
